Built to mark the Marquisate granted to the Lord of Las Navas, Pedro Dávila y Zúñiga, by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Magalia Castle was built in the 16th century on the remains of an earlier castle (13th century). It has a two-storey Renaissance courtyard. It was recently restored by the State. It is now managed by the Ministry of Culture and Sport and is used as a centre for corporate and cultural events, congresses, conventions, and business meetings.
