The paths that run through the vineyards of the Méntrida-Toledo Designation of Origin extend from the foothills of the Gredos mountain range to the city of Toledo. Its wineries, vineyards, cooperatives, and rich, diverse historical and natural heritage come together as a perfect pairing.The route passes through 14 municipalities in the province of Toledo: Méntrida, Torrijos, Camarena, La Torre de Esteban Hambrán, Escalona, Maqueda, Montearagón, Fuensalida, Carmena, Quismondo, Cebolla, Novés, Arcicollar and El Viso de San Juan.

The cave-wineries of Castillejo de Méntrida and Camarena; the various wine-related festivals such as the one in Montearagón; castles like those of Maqueda and Escalona; and landscapes such as meadows and pine forests are just a glimpse of all that the route has to offer. The route offers different specific proposals with fixed prices, plans to visit the most representative vineyards and wineries of the Méntrida Designation of Origin and, of course, guided tastings and sampling of local products. How to get here

Méntrida, the town after which the route is named, has just over 5,000 inhabitants and is situated in the northern part of the province of Toledo. It can be reached from Madrid in just 45 minutes via the A-5 motorway (Madrid-Badajoz). From Toledo, the journey takes just 20 minutes via the A-40 motorway (Torrijos–Maqueda), connecting to the A-5 (Badajoz–Madrid). There is also a high-speed train line that links Toledo and the Madrid-Puerta de Atocha station in Spain's capital in just half an hour.
