
Peñón de Ifach Natural Park

It is located in the municipality of Calp, in the Marina Alta region. El Penyal is formed by a limestone mass 332 metres high.
This natural park is connected to land by a sandy isthmus. Near this natural area is the Saladar wetland, which has been transformed into salt flats and is currently in disuse.

In Calpe, you can admire various buildings of cultural interest, such as the Torreón de la Peça, the Hermitage of San Salvador, the Roman ruins of the Baños de la Reina and the Hermitage of la Cometa.

The flora is characterised by shrubby vegetation, dotted with Aleppo pine.

Information for visits
While access is free to all visitors, it is best to begin your visit at the Information Centre or the Nature Classroom at the entrance to the nature reserve. Access to the rock at night is prohibited, with maximum penalties for violators.
