S 'Albufera Nature Reserve lies in the north of Majorca, in l'Alcúdia bay. It is a marshy coastline formed by lakes and natural and artificial canals.

The presence of vertebrates in the area deserves a mention. These include, martens, weasels, tortoises and the calopet, amongst others. However, birds dominate this open space, namely the marsh harrier, little bittern, black-winged stilt, purple heron, 'vascon' and moustached warbler..

    A small museum offers information on the birds and plants that can be seen in the Nature Reserve. It moreover exhibits a model of this open space.

    The flora is notable for the reeds and cladium mariscum. The dunes are covered in pines, amongst other species. The fauna comprises martens, weasels, tortoises and calopet, to name but a few.

    There is a Visitor Centre in Can Picafort where you can find information about the Park, and organise visits.
