Madrid Design Festival

Every February, this festival turns Madrid into the capital of European design. The seventh edition of the Madrid Design Festival will feature more than 50 exhibitions and installations spread across the city (Caixa Forum Madrid, Cerralbo Museum and the National Museum of Decorative Arts) and will involve nearly 700 leading professionals.Entitled 'Redesigning the World', the event aims to promote a dialogue between design and other disciplines such as science, fashion, music, art and craftwork, as well as tackling problems that impact society from a global perspective. One of the festival's star events will be the professional conferences Madrid DesignPRO, which will be held at Madrid's Institución Libre de Enseñanza from February 14 to 17. Piet Hein Eek, Irma Boom, Ben Reason, Andreu Carulla, João Albuquerque (BIG), Sara Ricciardi, OUCHHH, Pierre Jorge González of Gonzalez Haase AAS, Quayola, Oteyza and Birgitte Due Madsen are some of the outstanding Spanish and international designers taking part in the round tables, conferences, anatomy lessons and conversations at this major design festival.
