The Jerte Valley, in Extremadura, celebrates the blossoming of its cherry trees every year with various events.

It only happens for a couple of weeks a year, usually between late March and early April, depending on weather conditions. During this time, the mountains of the valley look completely white with blossoming cherry trees During this time, exhibitions, medieval markets, open-air dances, routes, tastings and many other activities, are held in the villages of the valley: Valdastillas, Tornavacas, Rebollar, Piornal, Navaconcejo, Jerte, El Torno, Casas del Castañar, Cabrero, Cabezuela del Valle and Barrado, all in the province of Cáceres.
